i do - actually, it's become close to unbearable.. and herein lies the paradox: i tried to fade in the illusion that i might keep contact with family and friends still "in".

because not only most of them shun me anyways, but i find it almost unbearable to be around them, especially when the cult chit chat kicks in: every cute animal video clip triggers endless comments about glimpses of the future paradise and how "god did it"; those greasy praises to the organization and the governing body; the dumb awe about every jw broadcast and those cheesy music videos; the endless drivel against other religions when one knows perfectly well that we're no better than them; the endless flow of "experiences" of field service or spectacular conversions into "the truth"; the relentless congregation gossip; and so on .... i ask myself: is this why i am fading for ...?
Yep, same here. Anytime my family or other witlesses are around and jibber jabbering about "da troof" it just makes them sound totally cultified to me now and i hate it.
I just keep my trap shut and change the subject when appropriate or else just leave them to it and go somewhere else. I also try and remember what it was like before I woke up. I was cultified too at one stage.

We should have the ability to delete our own Pms. I cant see why we would have to even ask for it.
We should also be able to edit our own posts at any time, the post should show when it was edited and who by and also a drop down box when doing the edit to select the reason for the edit including "removal of personal information". Most other forums i use allow all this.
Sure some would abuse that to alter their poor forum behaviours, but they would be in the minority.
reddit doesnt let you delete stuff inc PMs and is a huge turn off for me in using it.

If can hack the treadmill of reinstatement just to get your family back from the shunning madness then go for it. But do you know that they will not just shun you again when you fade later?
Not sure if this is your health concerns talking here or if you just havent done enough research to know it is a cult and complete bollocks and not something to invest time in believing in.
If you know it's a cult and just want your family back and can hack wasting a about 2 years of your life on reinstatement and fading out then why not.

i've been posting here a lot, but these last few weeks have been very difficult for me.
anyways, lately, i've been thinking about confessing everything i've done to the elders and going back, but deep down, i don't really think it's the truth...so my question is, what convinced you it wasn't the truth and that leaving wasn't a horrible decision that everyone in the truth makes it out to be?
yesterday some jw's came over to my house and were even being nice to me, most of the time if they do come by an elder or ms may say something but the others will not, its even hard for them to say just hello (how pathetic).
( they also do this behind my back as if i don't know).
i now realize by not being their i've handed my kids right over to them!.
